I studied at Health Mastery Institute, the world's only plant based health coaching school.

I was a high school French teacher for 24 years. However, nutrition has always been a passion of mine and unfortunately, I was suffering from a number health issues for many years. I went to multiple health practitioners and I didn't find any relief for my ailments. So, I decided to heal myself by going to school and figuring out the answers for myself and I did! I decided to study nutrition part time, while I was working full time as a teacher, at the world's first plant based nutrition school, Healthy Mastery Institute. I love talking about nutrition with people and educating and empowering them to make nutritionally sound choices, always based on evidence from over 50 years of nutrition science, that will help them reach their health goals so that they can have energy and always feel great!
My job is to educate, encourage and empower people so that they can always feel great and have tons of energy. I base my practice on the following principles:
1. I base my recommendations on FACTS, not opinions, nutrition fads or trends.
2. It seems that in today's society, healthy eating is considered to be something that deviates from the norm. I believe that healthy eating IS the norm for everyone.
3. I believe that anyone can make changes to their health through the proper guidance and nutrition.
4. DO NO HARM. My recommendations are based on peer-reviewed, scientific research. If I know that something will cause harm in any way, I will not recommend it. I have a responsibility to give you all the facts.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved Mother Nature. When I was trying to come up with a name for my health coaching business, I really wanted it to reflect my values, and in particular, my love of both nature and my passion for living a healthy lifestyle. So, when I came across the idea of a heartleaf, I decided to research it and find out if there was any symbolism related to it. What I discovered was that it symbolizes a “love of nature and growth”. When I read that, it completely resonated with me and I thought that it was perfect. It also symbolizes good health and abundance. This name truly does embody what I value when it comes to health.
I really love this quote by Frank Lloyd Wright, an architect who believed in designing in harmony with the environment: “Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”
